This is a great restaurant. Food is fantastic, reasonable price for London, wine is superb. Our waitress was friendly, informative & attentive but not ott. Stuffed baby squid & Italian sausage antipasti so tasty. The Seafood risotto, lamb steak, truffle & mushroom ravioli & lobster/seafood linguini were out of this world.
I highly recommend this restaurant – we loved it.

“Birthday Celebration”

Nostalgic intimacy and the essence of Italy in a hidden London street.Unfussy interior and décor,a warm welcome, and caring service. Good choice of well presented classics rather more Country style than Nouvelle cuisine which means over large portions, tasty and authentic nevertheless.

“Time Travel”

My wife and I dined at Da Paolo last Saturday evening, after calling to bring our original reservation forward one hour, which was not a problem. The atmosphere was for me, just like Italian restaurants used to be, friendly, courteous, a touch of humour, all framed in a really pleasant environment, which was spotlessly clean.
The food was absolutely gorgeous, but take heed, make sure you bring your appetite, as portions are very generous. We both started with avocado with crab in a marvellous sauce, very different and utterly memorable. My wife followed this with veal, and I the steak, which were both full of flavour, and reasonably priced, as were the wines.
All in all a great experience, but I would suggest make a reservation, as people were being turned away on the night without bookings. So a really friendly family run business, which produces excellent Italian food.
We will be booking again without doubt.

“Fabulous”

A cosy Italian restaurant that cooks great homemade food. The food and the wine is sensibly priced and good quality. The service was relaxed and friendly.

“Wonderful food and very relaxing”

We managed to get a table in this extremely busy little restaurant , and I’m very glad we did. The atmosphere is bustling , staff attentive , food selection is extensive, but you can be assured its all Dewey well made. This is everything you could ask for in an Italian restaurant and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I was surprised to hear a trio next to us comment on the price, however for the two of us, starter, main and sumptuous dessert with a bottle of wine was under £100, portion sizes were large. Faultless TBH
